About the hotel

The tranquility of nature

The feeling of tranquility pervades everywhere, following along the small roads through the hilly landscape, and stretching to the area beyond. The air becomes clearer, your thoughts become easier, and your shoulders relax. Here, we live with nature. Each room and suite has its own terrace; the Bistro serves locally cultivated and organic food; the tennis courts and the open-air gym enable excellent outdoor activities.

Surroundings

We are located on the outskirts of Torekov, an old fishing village now famous as an idyllic holiday paradise. Situated on the western coast of Bjäre Peninsula next to Hallands Weather Island (Hallands Väderö), you will find all the finest things of summer, from charming farm shops to local food producers and world-class golf courses, just around the corner in Båstad.

Our Love of the Locally Grown

Bjäre Peninsula has often been called ”the pantry of Sweden,” and it is a title we have certainly come to embrace. Bjäre’s fresh potatoes, asparagus, apples and strawberries are known all over the world. In the Bistro, you can also try meat from local farms, fish right from our nearby fishermen, and drinks created right here at the resort. We promise you will be able to taste just how much love and tenderness we have for our local produce.

Open the door to the Skåneleden trail

Experience the magic of nature by bike, foot or even by horseback. For those who like to hike, we highly recommend Skåneleden’s trail between Torekov-Vejbystrand, a two-mile hike along the seafront with a chance to see some seals!

Close to Golf

Bjäre Peninsula is a golfer’s absolute dream, with many places to choose from: Torekov GK, Båstad GK, Bjäre GK, Åkagården GK, Woodlands G & CC, Rya GK – book a golf package and arrange a tee time.

The first sections of the Torekov Hotel were completed in 1980. In July 2007, the hotel was refurbished with 30 double rooms, a conference room, a reception area, a gym and an activity room. In May 2008, we opened our new residence, with two double rooms and a suite in each building. Our conference rooms, with facilities for both small and large meetings, undergo continual modernization to always offer the most up to date technology and modern facilities.

Since 2010, the Torekov Hotel is part of the same hotel group that includes the Hotel Skansen and the Hotel Riviera Strand. Our vision is to always offer personalized service, high quality, and unique environments where the experience and guest are at the very center. And of course, the entire hotel has the Swan Ecolabel (Svanenmärkt).
